Today we are going to be taking your through the step by step process of the patient’s journey after having the Dermamelan Peel to help with Pigmentation.
Melasma and sunspots were the primary reasons the patient in this case study first visited the clinic. The patient’s confidence was being impacted by these problems, which were making them self-conscious of their skin. Dr. Nicole gave the patient information about their melasma and listed possible treatments after our dermatologist thoroughly examined their skin.
Here is how their progress with the Dermamelan peel went on.
12 months following on from having a Cosmelan Peel, the patient returned to our clinic to have a Dermamelan Peel in July 2022.
This what the peel involves:
A medical-grade chemical peel called Dermamelan has a powerful restorative effect on skin discolouration and pigmentation. It has a mix of active ingredients that have been shown to be effective in regulating melanin overproduction, inhibiting, and managing the emergence of dark spots. The four therapy steps are spread out across a one-year skin care regimen to produce an all-around, effective result.
Before the peel
Day One
The was the first day of the peel.

Day Two
The was how the skin looked the day after the peel.
As you can see from the image, the skin has started to lift from the face and peel. Also note that due to the nature of the peel the skin will also swell up slightly.
Day Three
As you can see the top layer skin will start to become more flakey.
The skin will also continue to swell at the stage, but don’t worry this is to be expected.
Day Four
At this stage we are now halfway through the treatment.
Here you can see the peel really start to work through the skin, removing the traces of Melasma.
Day Five
Now the top layer of skin has peeled you will start to see alight difference in the pigmentation. Once the skin has relaxed and swelling has gone you will start to see a difference in your skin.
The skin will also start to develop a slight puffiness that will ease during the healing process.
Day Seven
The final outcome. Fresh, clear skin!
