Anti-wrinkle injections: Post-treatment Advice

17th October 2023

It goes without saying that the better you inform yourself, the better your results will be.

Whilst you’re unlikely to experience any issues following your procedure, these helpful tips will ensure you get the best outcome.

What should I expect immediately after the procedure?

• At the injection locations, you may suffer brief redness, swelling, and bruising. Swelling and irritation usually last for 24 to 48 hours. Bruising can last for a short while.

• You should begin to see treatment results within 3-5 days, and the full results should be visible within 2-4 weeks.

• If you notice any imbalances in your brows after treatment, please get in touch with the clinic within 2-4 weeks.

• If you experience flu-like symptoms or migraines after treatment, paracetamol can help ease your symptoms.

• The treatment result typically lasts between 2 and 6 months, depending on the individual.

What can I do to ensure I get the best results post-treatment?

• Please stay upright for at least two hours after the procedure.

· Exercise the treated areas for 30-60 minutes after treatment.

Is there anything I need to avoid post-treatment?

• Refrain from touching the region for at least 6 hours after treatment.

• Try to avoid wearing make-up for at least 2 hours following treatment.

• Avoid drinking and exercise for 48 hours to reduce the possibility of bruising.

• Stay away from excessive heat for 48 hours, such as saunas, steam rooms, and long hot baths/showers, to reduce the chance of swelling and bruising.

• For the next two weeks, avoid cosmetic treatments such as lasers, facials, facial massage, and radiofrequency.

If you notice any other unusual symptoms, don’t hesitate to contact our clinic for further advice.
