What does TIXEL do? (In finer detail)
Tixel® is a revolutionary thermomechanical technology that employs heat to renew, resurface, and tighten the skin. There are no chemicals, lasers, or needles used in the treatment. It is helpful for a variety of common skin issues, including:

What are the benefits of TIXEL?
Tixel® can be ablative or non-ablative in different situations. Tixel® has ablative efficacy comparable to fractional lasers but with the added benefits of:

– reduced downtime and post-care
– no irradiation (safe for eye treatment)
Tixel® is used in a non-ablative environment to assist topical treatments in penetrating and brightening the skin.
Tixel can safely treat sensitive skin with deficient pain levels, including periorbital skin (skin around the eyes), neck, décolleté, and the back of the hands.
How does the treatment work?
Tixel® is a biocompatible heated tip with an array of 81 pyramids. Thermal energy is delivered to the higher skin layers upon brief contact, forming microchannels of heated skin and encouraging cell renewal and collagen creation.
Are there any precautions I should take?
The therapy is NOT recommended if you have an active skin infection or are prone to keloid scarring.
If you can easily from sun exposure, apply a topical lotion to the treated region at least two weeks before the treatment. Please discuss this with your practitioner.
You must use proper sun protection for three months following your Tixel® treatment.
