Spotlight On Dermal Fillers

14th June 2020

At Lumiere skin clinic here in Manchester, there’s lots we can do to help give you a makeover that’s effective, yet natural-looking. One of our favourite ‘tweakments’ that gives a beautiful, yet subtle result is lip fillers. A treatment that’s beloved by the celebrity circuit, they’ve only increased in popularity over the years – and have become more effective, too.

In this post, our experts will talk through our lip fillers in more detail, from what they’re made of, to how long results last. So, if you find yourself sitting on the fence as to whether to get lip fillers in the future, we hope we’ll help you towards a decision!

Long-lasting gorgeousness

One of the best things about lip fillers is their longevity, where your lip injections could last as many as 18 months. We like to say lip fillers give you the best of both worlds, as they’re lasting but still non-permanent, so results will eventually fade – but you can repeat the treatment in the future and try something different next time, and if you find yourself wanting to reverse the effects, ours can be dissolved.

Non-surgical results

Lip fillers are known for being minimally invasive, and are an alternative to plastic surgery – so you’ll have fantastic results without the pain, recovery and disruption to your lifestyle. They’re also a much safer alternative to surgery, too, with fewer risks and side-effects involved.

A pain-free pout

With a combination of numbing agent and fine needle, we can keep discomfort to a minimum during your lip filler treatment, so you can truly relax without being in pain or worrying about your results.

Immediate results

Many of our clients enjoy immediate results with lip fillers, seeing a dramatic transformation once the treatment is over. Sometimes, there may be some slight swelling or redness to the lips, so we do advise that your ‘true’ results may take a couple of days to settle in.

Close to natural

Not only do we try to create a beautifully natural result every time, but we also use hyaluronic acid in our fillers, which is found naturally in the body. This minimises the risk of problems like allergies, and also means that over time, the filler will break down gently and be reabsorbed by the body. We also use the leading brands, Juvederm and Teosyal, to carry out our lip filler treatments.

Zero downtime

Our clients love that, aside from mild redness or slight swelling, they’ll be able to go straight back to work after treatment, so there’s really no recovery involved at all. This means you’ll spend more time enjoying your results!
