Pigmentation
Also known as uneven skin tone, this is one of the most common problems we treat here at our Manchester skin clinic. Pigmentation issues are caused by meanocytes, a type of skin cell that regulates production of pigment (melanin). Factors such as sun exposure, inflammation and hormones can affect production of melanin and result in ‘patchy’ skin (melasma), sun spots, freckles and more.
Redness
