HArmonyCa™

HArmonyCa is a dual-effect Hybrid Injectable. It contains two active ingredients, calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) and hyaluronic acid (HA). HArmonyCa may improve the skin architecture by providing an immediate lift effect from hyaluronic acid and a sustained lifting effect from new collagen production that happens with calcium hydroxyapatite.

With the HArmonyCa™ treatment, the hyaluronic acid particles work deep within the skin, where they help plump it up for an immediate lift effect. Moreover, calcium hydroxyapatite particles support the body’s own collagen production, so new collagen fibres start to grow.

As the gel slowly disappears over time, a firm and dense collagen network is built in its place for a gradual, long-lasting lift from calcium hydroxyapatite. The clinical effects of CaHA can last 1-3 years. During your consultation your healthcare professional will explain how HArmonyCa may work, and they can answer any questions you may have.

Your healthcare professional will first discuss your concerns and assess whether you are suitable for treatment with HArmonyCa. They will then perform injections with HArmonyCa in the areas of the face that need treating. HArmonyCa contains lidocaine, an anaesthetic, to reduce pain you may experience during treatment.

What areas of the face can I get treated with HArmonyCa?

HArmonyCa can be used under the skin in the deep dermal and sub-dermal layers in certain areas of the face, and cannot be injected around the eyes, the lips or around the mouth. During your consultation, your healthcare professional will discuss your concerns and suggest which facial areas can be treated with HArmonyCa.

During your consultation, your healthcare professional will advise you
on what you should do before and after your treatment with HArmonyCa. However, after your treatment you should:

  • Avoid any high-intensity exercise or activities, exposure to sunlight, tanning beds or extreme weather conditions for 24 hours
  • As with most injectable treatments there may be some redness, swelling and irritation. Apply an ice pack or cold compresses to the treated areas for 24 hours, in order to reduce redness, swelling and irritation.
  • Massage the treated areas if you feel any small bumps.

Frequently Asked Questions

HArmonyCA

  1. How quickly can I return to my everyday activities after treatment?

During your consultation, you will be advised when it is suitable for you to resume everyday activities after treatment. Normally, you will need to wait 24 hours after your treatment with HArmonyCa before doing high-intensity exercise or activities.

  2. Will I be able to get HArmonyCa™ alongside other treatments?

Your healthcare professional will discuss with you if there
are other treatments you should use alongside HArmonyCa when creating your personalised treatment plan.

  3. Is the procedure painful?

HArmonyCa contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride, an anaesthetic, to reduce pain during treatment. But as with all treatments, pain tolerance can vary between patients.

  4. What makes HArmonyCa™ different from biostimulators or other dermal fillers?

Biostimulators and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers work differently and may not give the same results. HArmonyCa combines calcium hydroxyapatite with hyaluronic acid, capturing the potential benefits of both in one treatment.1 HArmonyCa may offer the combined action of a hyaluronic acid lift and lasting collagen production from calcium hydroxyapatite in one injection. CaHA collagen formation can last up to 12 months. During your consultation the healthcare professional will explain the differences between HArmonyCa and traditional biostimulators or dermal fillers, and they can answer any questions you may have.

*Individual results may vary.
