Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers in Manchester & Cheshire

Natural-looking facial rejuvenation, tailored to you

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore lost volume, enhance facial contours and improve facial balance.

At Lumiere Clinic in Manchester and Cheshire, we offer hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, skin boosters and biostimulators from established brands including Juvéderm®, Teosyal®, and Julaine™.

Our approach is personalised to your facial anatomy, concerns and treatment goals, with an emphasis on subtle, natural-looking results.

Rather than treating individual lines or features in isolation, we consider the whole face when planning your treatment.

What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume, enhance definition and improve facial proportions.

Common treatment areas include:

  • Under eyes and tear troughs
  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Jawline
  • Temples
  • Lips
  • Facial lines and wrinkles

We also offer biostimulator treatments for patients looking for gradual improvements in facial structure, firmness and skin quality.

Under-Eye & Tear Trough Fillers

Hollowness and shadows beneath the eyes can create a tired appearance, even when you are well rested.

As we age, changes in the fat pads and supporting structures around the eyes and cheeks can make the natural hollow between the lower eyelid and cheek more noticeable.

Carefully placed under-eye or tear trough filler can help restore lost volume and create a smoother transition between the under-eye and cheek.*

At Lumiere Clinic, we use established hyaluronic acid fillers suitable for this delicate area. Where appropriate, we use a cannula technique, which may help minimise tissue trauma and bruising.

Under-eye and tear trough fillers are available at our Manchester and Cheshire clinics.

Cheek Fillers

The cheeks provide important structural support and contour to the face.

With age, changes in facial fat, bone and skin can lead to loss of cheek volume and reduced definition through the mid-face.

Strategically placed cheek fillers can restore lost volume, enhance cheek contours and create a fresher, more balanced appearance.*

Our aim is not simply to add volume. Treatment is planned according to your individual facial anatomy to maintain natural proportions.

Cheek filler treatments are available in Manchester and Cheshire.

Chin Fillers

The chin plays an important role in determining facial proportions, both from the front and in profile.

Chin filler can be used to enhance projection, length or contour and create better balance between the chin, lips and other facial features.*

Small, carefully placed amounts of filler can sometimes make a significant difference to overall facial proportions without surgery.

We use established dermal filler products including Juvéderm® Volux, where appropriate.

Jawline Fillers

A well-defined jawline can help create structure and balance within the lower face.

Jawline filler can be used to improve definition, enhance facial contours or address some of the changes in lower-face structure that occur with ageing.*

Chin and jawline treatments are often considered together, as the relationship between these areas is important when creating a balanced facial profile.

Your clinician will assess your facial anatomy and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.

Facial Contouring with Dermal Fillers

Our facial proportions naturally change with age due to changes in bone, facial fat compartments, skin quality and the effects of gravity.

Rather than focusing on one feature, facial contouring with dermal fillers can involve strategic treatment of several areas, such as the:

  • Temples
  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Jawline

This whole-face approach can help restore lost volume and improve facial balance while maintaining your natural features.*

At Lumiere Clinic, our philosophy is to help you look refreshed rather than over-filled.

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers can be used to enhance lip shape, definition and volume.

The lips can also become thinner and less defined with age. Carefully placed hyaluronic acid filler can help restore lost volume and improve definition while maintaining proportions that suit your face.*

Our focus is on creating natural-looking lip enhancement, rather than an over-filled appearance.

Depending on your anatomy and treatment goals, we may use products such as Juvéderm® Volift or Juvéderm® Volbella.

Lip filler treatments are available at Lumiere Clinic in Manchester and Cheshire.

Dermal Fillers for Lines & Wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles develop as a result of several factors, including skin ageing, repeated facial movement and loss of underlying facial volume.

Softer hyaluronic acid injectable products or skin boosters can be used in selected areas to improve the appearance of fine lines and skin creasing.*

Depending on your skin and the area being treated, we may recommend products such as Juvéderm® Volbella, SKINVIVE™ by Juvéderm® or HYDROMAX.

Your clinician will recommend the most appropriate treatment following an individual assessment.

Biostimulator Treatments

For patients looking for gradual facial rejuvenation rather than simply adding volume, we also offer biostimulator treatments.

These injectable treatments are designed to stimulate the skin’s own regenerative processes, with the aim of gradually improving firmness, structure and skin quality.*

Treatments available at Lumiere Clinic include HArmonyCa™ and Julaine™.

Depending on your concerns, your clinician may recommend a traditional hyaluronic acid dermal filler, a biostimulator or a combination treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Dermal Fillers at Lumiere Clinic

  1. Do I need a consultation if I know exactly what I want?

It is always recommended to have a consultation first to discuss what you want to achieve and your expectations. We can then tailor them accordingly with the treatments that we have. Sometimes, a combination of treatments may be required to achieve best results. The appropriate treatment options will be discussed, along with the potential benefits and risks to ensure you are fully informed before going ahead with any procedure.

  2. How much does a consultation cost?

A consultation for dermal fillers in Manchester costs £195 but this is redeemable and deducted from your treatment fee if you decide to go ahead with it.

  3. What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural skin component. It attracts and retains water to keep the skin plumped and soft. In dermal fillers, hyaluronic acid comes in the form of a gel.

  4. What brands of fillers do you offer?

We offer two leading brands of fillers which are Juvederm and Teosyal. Specific types of fillers within the range are used based on the area treated and your individual needs.

  5. Can I have treatments on the same day?

If you are new to us, we recommend a consultation first followed by the treatment at a separate visit. If you have had treatments with us before, we can perform treatments on the same day.

  6. How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal Filler results vary among individuals and the type of filler used. Generally, they can last from 6 months up to 18 months.

  7. What are the main risks that I need to know about?

Common side effects are redness and swelling at the injection points. They can take a few hours to a few days to settle down. There is always a risk of bruising with any injection into the skin. Rarer risks include lumps, allergic reactions, infections and skin necrosis (blockage of blood vessels by fillers). There are early signs to recognise these risks, and they will be discussed at your consultation. Hyaluronic-acid fillers are reversible, and potential adverse outcome can be minimised if you are aware of what to watch out for after treatment.

  8. What does the pre- and post- procedure care involve?

We generally recommend avoiding taking ibuprofen, aspirin or supplements that can thin your blood a day or two before your treatment to minimise the risk of bleeding during the procedure and thereby reducing the risk of a bruise. After filler treatment, we recommend avoiding alcohol and vigorous exercise for a few days to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
