She will be able to assess and diagnose your hair or scalp condition, and initiate a treatment plan. There are various topical (creams/lotions/foams), oral medications and injection treatments for hair loss. The key is early diagnosis and treatment to prevent further hair loss. A scalp skin biopsy is available to diagnose certain hair loss conditions.
Moles and Skin lesions can be benign (harmless), pre-cancerous or cancerous. It is important to diagnose them promptly and remove them if clinically appropriate, with a good cosmetic result. Dr Nicole is a medical advisor for Melanoma UK. Her approach is always to determine if the skin lesion of concern is clinically benign or suspicious (based on her dermoscopy examination), followed by a discussion of the most appropriate way to monitor or remove them. There are different methods of removal of moles for cosmetic and medical reasons, and this will be discussed at the consultation.
Pigmentation and uneven skin tone can be a distressing problem. It is important to diagnose the cause of the pigmentation first, and initiate treatments as early as possible before the problem worsens. At Lumiere Clinic, we have the full range of specialist skin care, medical treatments, chemical peels and laser/light therapies to tackle pigmentation & uneven skin. You will need a consultation first as not all pigmentation problems can be treated with laser or light therapies.
